Private Dog Training Lesson Location Options
We offer our Private Dog Training Lessons in these formats!
Lessons at Our Facility: We teach lessons at our facility for all sorts of behavior goals, from raising a new puppy to navigating behavior challenges like reactivity. We have set up our facility to help you and your dog be most successful right from the start - and then increase the difficulty by moving to harder environments when your dog’s skills are ready! These lessons are valuable even for resolving behavior that “only happens at home” - we’re pretty good at being creative and creating productive practice opportunities in our training room for any goal!
Lessons at Your Home (& Other Fort Collins Locations): We teach lessons at your home - or other applicable dog-friendly locations around town. This service is available on a more limited basis than our facility lessons, but if you feel like this is the right choice for your dog and behavior goals, let us know and we’d love to discuss this with you! Please note that we do have an additional travel fee for lessons further than 4 miles from our training facility. Note: Most of our students start in lessons at our facility and move to out & about lessons or home visits for advanced lessons.
Virtual Dog Training Lessons: Held online wherever you are in the world! Lessons are held via Google Meet and include discussion, demo, training video and plan review, and more.

STEP 1: SCHEDULE A FREE 15-MINUTE DISCOVERY CALL WITH THE SUMMIT ADMIN TEAM
Learn more about our service options and get general recommendations for where to start with your dog!
During your Discovery Call, the Summit® Admin Team will listen to your training goals and challenges and answer general questions about our training processes; at the end of your call, if Private Dog Training Lessons are right for you, they will help to match your availability with a Summit® Trainer so that you can get started!
Step 2: PURCHASE YOUR PRIVATE LESSON Trail Blazer PACKAGE & Get started with Training!
All of our students start their Private Dog Training Lesson training journeys with us with our Trail Blazer Package.
Tuition: $697
Once you have purchased your Trail Blazer Package, the Summit® Admin team will work with you to schedule your private lessons.

Other Included Resources:
One Year Free Access to the Summit Virtual Classroom online courses & webinar replays (this helps you maximize the use of your time with your instructor by taking advantage of our online resources for supplemental training goals & jumpstarting other skills!) ($400+ in value!)
Handouts and video resources (as applicable) to support your training goals & the skills we cover in your program
Email support as needed from your instructor between your lessons
5% discount on retail items from the Summit® store in Fort Collins, Colorado for the duration of your program package (local Fort Collins clients only)

4 x 60 Minute Lessons @ Your Home or Other Locations
Travel Fees: Lessons at our Training Room Facility or within 4 miles of driving distance (one way) do not incur any travel fees. Lessons at locations (home visits, hiking trails, parks, etc.) within 4-10 miles of driving distance from our training room incur a $15 travel fee per lesson in addition to lesson tuition. Lessons at locations (home visits, hiking trails, parks, etc.) within 10-20 miles of driving distance from our training room incur a $45 travel fee per lesson. These travel fees help to offset the costs of our trainers’ time, gasoline, and car maintenance funds.

Step 3: Pursue additional training as recommended by your Summit® Trainer
The Trail Blazer Private Lesson Package is a starting point on your training journey with your dog. Depending on your dog’s behavior challenges and progress, additional training support may be needed after completion of your Trail Blazer package. During your wrap-up lesson at the end of your package, your Summit Trainer will make the best recommendation for next training steps to align with your needs and goals with your dog from one of the following paths:
Trail Refresher Private Lesson Packages - Additional private lesson bundles for continued & consistent training support. 2.5 Hours for $350 & 4 Hours for $600.
Trail Maintenance Private Lesson Subscription - 2 x 45 Minute Lessons per month with your Summit® trainer for ongoing support for your long-term training goals. $190/month.
Join a Group Class! - Continue to practice your dog’s skills in a group environment at your Summit® trainer’s recommendation.
